Time to pick my sessions!

I love this part of conference prep...picking out the sessions!

Want to know another great thing about an online conferences? If a session conflicts with your schedule, you can always go back to the session you've missed later!  But wait there's more! Not only is travel not required, but taking days off from work is not required!

OK...back to planning my sessions...

You can find the full Day 1 schedule here.

Day 1 - Here are the early classes I'm doing.
Decisions...decisions...

  • Fluid Power and Prana Vinyasa with Shiva Rae - 9AM Interview/9:30 Class
    • I've attended one of Shiva Rae's classes years ago and her energy and attitude are refreshing.
  • The Power of Mindfulness for Everyday Living with Congressman, Tim Ryan - Noon Interview
    • I'll listen in on this during lunch

The later afternoon classes are tough.  There are three I really want to watch, but I can't commit to them all.  A couple will have to wait.  But which one(s) should I watch live?  I guess it will all depend on my schedule that day.

  • The Sequencing of Emotions with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman
    • I've spent many hours on my mat with a Rodney Yee video.  It'll be great to virtually practice along with him.
  • Love is Stronger than Fear with Desiree Rumbaugh
    • She's originally from Arizona.  My friend took her session at a conference while I opted for a different class. My friend didn't stop talking about it, so I don't want to miss out on this one.
  • Overcoming Self Sabotage: 3 Steps to Rock the Life You Deserve with Sadie Nardini
    • What can I say? The title alone is intriguing

Just two more days until the online conference starts.  Have you registered yet?

Yoga Is...

Well, I did it! I signed up for the Yoga Is Online Conference from April 30 - May 3rd, 2015.  My first ever online conference! So, yes since it's my first online conference I have the same questions as you -  What is it and how does it work?

Reading the Yoga Is website explains it simply:

"Students will watch, listen & learn from more than 60 half-hour videos from some of the most established teachers in their genre.  Over the four days, seven to eight videos will be offered per day.  The videos will contain two main sections; an interview with the teacher then an immediate follow up class that will relate to the content of the interview"

The full online conference will also be available to the students after the conference is over.

So, for $39 I get all this exclusive content from some pretty amazing teachers.

I've been to a few yoga conferences in the past and believe me $39 is a steal! In a regular conference, you not only have to pay the registration fee, but unless it's close to home, you'll have pay for travel and hotel accommodations as well.

Just a few of us taking a beach break from a Yoga Conference in San Diego, CA
Not only is the price right, but I love that instead of having to travel to see these amazing teachers, they have to travel through the interwebs and come into my humble abode.  For the next few days prior to the conference, I will be reviewing the conference schedule to pick out the classes I want to take.  I love this part of conference prep!

Follow along with me on my blog, twitter, instagram for before, during and after discussion of this journey.  Will you be attending the conference with me? Feel free to comment and tweet along with me #YogaIs
